ninety-three years ago, the united states senate passed the 19th amendment with 56 ayes and 25 nays and gave women the right to vote.

i love remembering today.

usually i celebrate by watching "iron jawed angels" but i sort of dropped the ball this year, so mrs. banks will have to do.
